 Characteristics Of Thyme Honey

Taste : strong & rich

Scent : pleasant & characteristic of the herb.

Color : amber

Crystallization : starts to crystallize between 7-18 months from the date of production.

Natural Honeycomb

The honeycomb is extracted directly from the hive without any processing, just as the bees did.

It is a natural product with great beneficial properties because it contains additional bee products such as pollen, propolis and royal jelly.

How To Eat Honeycomb

Yes it is completely safe to eat it.

Cut a small piece with a teaspoon, suck, chew without fear does not stick to the teeth, the honey melts in your mouth (a piece remains like chewing gum and spits it ) and you enjoy at the same time wax and honey with all the healing and nutritional properties of the honeycomb.

Honey Crystallization

The crystallization of honey is a natural property of pure raw honey.

It does not cause a change in the nutritional and biological value of honey.

A crystallized honey is not spoiled or adulterated.

The main factor that contributes to its crystallization is the amount of natural glucose contained in honey.

Some types of honey contain more natural glucose than others.

For example orange honey starts to crystallize in 2-3 months & pine honey in 12-24 months.

How To De-Crystallized It

  1. Make sure your honey is in a glass jar or jars (not plastic). Fill a pot with water that comes to ½ to ⅔ up the sides of the jars.
  2. Place honey jars (sans lids) in the pot and bring water to a hot but not boiling temperature.
  3. Gently stir honey every few minutes to help break up crystals. Be careful not to splash any hot water into honey jars.
  4. Remove jars from heat when honey is once again smooth and runny.

Storage : Keep it in a dark & dry place, in airtight containers to not absorb moisture and odors.

Also, you should not use a wet spoon or knives you have already applied for example butter in the bread and do not put the same spoon that we have eaten honey in the jar because the enzymes of our saliva will affect its quality.
