Tea Gunpowder Green Tea Loose Leaf, Sugar Free Gunpowder Brewing Tea Pingshui
$5.00 – $75.00
This tea is produced like green tea but after the steaming process the tea is tightly rolled into what appears to be pellets.
Gunpowder is a more concentrated beverage than any other green tea variety.
You only need to use 1/2 teaspoon per cup.
The expansion of the leaf after infusion is quite remarkable.
The leaves will open up and the olive-colored drink will surprise you with its sweet, slightly pungent flavor, subtle smoky notes, and lemony aftertaste.
Green tea is full of polyphenols and phytochemicals with strong antioxidant properties, and is responsible for the bitter taste.
Includes 6 main polyphenols known as catechins.
Contains much more catechins than black tea.

Aroma & Taste
Tea lovers appreciate its smoky, nearly oaken flavor.
While some may describe the taste as minty, peppery, or grassy, all agree on its coppery kick and unforgettable flavor profile.
Tightly woven, olive green and grey pearls that produce a strong and spicy brew with slightly smoky aromas that accompany the earthy, nutty notes and sour, milky notes.
A slightly tart sensation in the mouth.
Place slightly less than 1 teaspoon of gunpowder leavesin the glass. Use twice this amount if you are brewing your tea in an 8oz glass. If you are using a teapot, use about one teaspoon for every cup of tea (or for every 4oz of water).
Fill the glass with hot water. It should be about 80-90% full and the temperature should be below boiling; around 80°C (176°F)is ideal.
Place the lid on the glass and let the tea steep for 1 minute.
When you get down to about one quarter of the tea remaining, refill the glass with hot water of the same temperature as before and let it steep for 30 seconds to one minute.
You can get 3-5 infusionsout of most pearl teas. Increase the steeping time 30 seconds to one minute for each infusion. How many infusions you do depends entirely on your taste.
Use the amounts given in these instructions as a rough guide. If you find the resulting tea too weak, add more tea leaves.
If it is too strong, reduce the amount of leaves used.
A Small Tip
Most people leave this step out whenever they make any type of tea, but it’s actually pretty important to the best cup of tea.
Tea should be enjoyed at exactly the proper temperature.
When hot water is poured into a cold cup it will begin to cool quickly, which doesn’t allow the blend to steep properly.
Storage : keep it in a cool & dry place.
